Date palm pollen powder contains amino acids, minerals, flavonoids, and polyphenols that provide a comfortable skin feel in rinse-off products. It disperses well in dry blends (masks/cleansing grains) and can be used at low levels in emulsions to gently support sensory benefits. It can also be extracted into water/glycols for use in toners and gels. Use sparingly to manage natural color/odor, and perform a patch test to check for sensitivity.

Benefits:

●      Gentle ingredient suitable for oily/combination skin

●      Antioxidant support (polyphenols/flavonoids)

●      Helps reduce shine and improve the look of pores

●      Clean after-feel post-rinse without over-drying

●      Plant-derived and suitable for minimalist formulas

How to use:

●      Powder masks/cleansing grains: blend dry with clays/starches; wet at use with Aqua or a hydrosol to form a smooth paste.

●      Emulsions (cream/lotion): disperse as a fine powder in a little glycerin or propanediol; add in cool-down with mixing and fine-filter if needed.

●      Toner/gel (as an extract): prepare a filtered water/glycol or light hydroalcoholic extract; incorporate with an appropriate preservation system.

Recommended usage levels in skincare:

●      Powder masks/cleansing grains: 1–15%

●      Emulsions (face/body): 0.05–0.5% as a fine dispersion (higher levels may feel gritty)

●      Aqueous extracts in toners/gels: 1–3% (depending on extract strength)

●      Scrubs/soaps: 0.5–3%

Solubility:

●      Insoluble in water and oils; dispersible as a powder.

●      Extractable in hot water, glycols, or a light hydroalcoholic mixture; filter to remove particulates.

Applications:

●      Clay masks and powder cleansers

●      Cleansing products and body powders

●      Masks for oily/combination skin

●      Toners and gels using filtered botanical extracts

●      Soaps and scrubs with a subtle natural tint

Storage:
Keep tightly closed, protected from light and moisture, at a moderate temperature (below 25 °C).
